11th Annual Invasive Species and Exotic Pest Workshop

Introduction: Join us during National Invasive Species Awareness Week for the 11th annual Invasive Species & Exotic Pest Workshop! This event is designed to provide information on invasive species management to professionals and the interested public.

We have a great lineup of speakers who will dive into topics surrounding zebra mussel contaminated moss balls, pathways to ornamental weeds, spotted lanternfly risks to agriculture, first foods and invasive species management, riparian restoration techniques, and more!

It will be co-hosted by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Washington Invasive Species Council, Washington State University Extension, Skamania County Noxious Weed Control Program, and the Columbia Gorge Cooperative Weed Management Area.

Pesticide recertification credits are anticipated from Oregon Department of Agriculture and Washington State Department of Agriculture (pending approval).

The Skamania County Weed Board will host its first meeting of 2024 on Tuesday, January 2nd at 10am. Meeting dates for 2024 include February 6th, April 2nd, June 4th, August 6th, and October 1st. All meetings start at 10am.

Meetings are located at the Noxious Weed Office at 704 SW Rock Creek Drive in Stevenson.
