Anti-Harassment 

Information effective: July 2019 

This is a civil form of restraining order. Harassment is a pattern of conduct that makes you feel annoyed, alarmed, or distressed. The person filing does not need to have any relationship to the person harassing them. The Judge can order any or all of the following:

  • Prohibit harassment and contact of any kind
  • Restrain a party from coming within a specific distance from the petitioner's workplace, school, residence, etc.

If you believe there is an immediate threat or Criminal behavior, you may wish to contact the Skamania County Sheriff's Office or Prosecutor's Office.   • Forms are available at the District Court Office or on the Washington Courts website
  • There is a non-refundable filing fee of $73.00.
  • If you need immediate protection and the Court finds an emergency exists, the Court may issue a temporary order that will last until the Court holds a hearing, usually within 14 days from the date the temporary order is signed by the Judge.

 

Domestic Violence

  • Violence or fear of violence by a family, household member, or intimate partner may be classified as Domestic Violence.
  • There is a specific form for a Domestic Violence civil restraining order. Forms are available at the District Court Office or on the Washington Courts website.
  • There is no filing fee for a Domestic Violence Protection Order.
  • If you need immediate protection and the Court finds an emergency exists, the Court may issue a temporary order that will last until the Court holds a hearing, usually within 14 days from the date the temporary order is signed by the Judge.
  • Please note that for cases involving minors, you may be referred to Superior Court.
