Events and Festivals:
Skamania County Fair and Timber Carnival
The original “Free-gate” fair in the Northwest includes lots of daily livestock and horse shows, animals, 4-H fun, delicious food, and a treasure of still life exhibits. Don’t miss exciting entertainment, contests, demonstrations in the Exhibit Hall and the annual parade, timber carnival, market sale, and firework displays.
Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival
The premier bluegrass festival in the Northwest! Come enjoy national and regional bands, good food, dances and more.
Skamania County Spring Fest
This event includes our 7th Annual Country Chic and Handmade Creations Bazaar (Exhibit Hall), Community Garage Sale & continuation of Handmade Creations (Stock Barn) and our newly added plant and garden sale (Market Pavilion)! What a great way to bring in all the feelings of spring!
Christmas in the Gorge
Also run by our Skamania Chamber of Commerce it includes the Starlight Parade, Arts and Crafts Bazaar, Community events, Business open houses, Nativity displays, many more activities.
Christmas Basket Program
The Skamania County Christmas Basket Fund was first established in 1980 and to this day continues to provide holiday food baskets to 300 plus families in our community. Volunteers are needed to continue this tradition of service. Please email parks@co.skamania.wa.us if you are interested in volunteering.
