The District Court is a Court of Limited Jurisdiction. It serves as the trial court for misdemeanors and infractions, as well as small claims and civil lawsuits involving amounts up to $100,000. It also manages cases filed under the jurisdiction of Stevenson Municipal Court and North Bonneville Municipal Court.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Court corresponds with defendants via the United States Postal Service. It is your responsibility to update your mailing address with the Court. If the address on your citation is incorrect, please call 509-427-3784 to update. Also please notify the DOL if your current address is different than the address on your Driver's License.

Interpreter Services

You may have the right to a court-appointed interpreter in a court case. Please ask someone at the District Court Office.

The interpreter program is handled by the District Court Interpreter Coordinator.

Title 2.43 and 2.42 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW), authorizes the appointment of language interpreters to assist non-English speaking persons and hearing impaired individuals in legal proceedings. The statute is intended to protect the constitutional rights of non-English speaking persons and people with hearing impairment.

Individuals requiring interpreter services may contact the interpreter coordinator at the Skamania County District Court office or by telephone and/or email.
