The Batting Cave: Where winter weather can’t stop your batting streak!
Get some off-season swings and throws in! The Batting Cave at the Skamania County Fairgrounds is the only covered and heated indoor batting facility for miles around. It's the perfect solution for those rainy days when you can't practice outside. Come rain or shine, The Batting Cave has got you covered - literally!
Program Dates: January - April
Use Options:
Wednesday Small Group Lessons: This is an option for aspiring kids who want to work on specific aspects of their baseball/softball skillset. A coach will work with a group of no more than 3 people (preferably the same age) and go over basics such as throwing, batting, and fielding. Pitching is an option if all three kids are interested.
Cost: $30 per kid for 4 1-hour sessions
Times:
1:30pm-2:30pm
2:30pm-3:30pm
3:30pm-4:30pm
4:30pm-5:30pm
Supplies needed:
Willingness to learn and pay attention
Glove and bat if owened (we can provide if not)
Team Use (4 or more kids):
Unlimited use for the entire month, Sunday through Saturday 8am -10pm: $250
Coaches can open up the barn and work with their team when kids are not playing other sports.
The math works in your favor:
Team A meets 2 times a week for a month and has a total of 12 kids, each family pays: $2.60 per session or a total of $20.83 per month. Team B meets 1 time a week for a month and has 10 kids, each family pays: $6.25 per session or a total of $25 a month.
