The Skamania County Board of Health, mandated by the Revised Code of Washington 43.20, consists of the three (3) County Commissioners. The board is responsible for the health needs of Skamania County residents, as well as coordination of projects and resources to meet and identify these needs.  Tasks carried out by the Skamania County Board of Health include disease prevention, health education and implementation of laws pertaining to public health.

The Board of Health meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Commissioners' boardroom on the lower level of the Skamania County Courthouse. Please see the calendar below for meeting dates and times. Meeting dates and locations that are adjusted will be noted in the current month's agenda.

9th Annual Columbia Gorge Invasive Species and Exotic Pest Workshop

  • Introduction: The Columbia Gorge Cooperative Weed Management Area and the Skamania County Noxious Weed Program are co-hosting this event in partnership with USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Washington Invasive Species Council, and the Washington State University Extension.

This excellent learning opportunity is designed to provide information on invasive species management to land managers, agency staff, and the interested public.

  • Where: Skamania County Hegewald Center (710 SW Rock Creek Drive, Stevenson, WA 98648)
    • Lunch will not be provided. Please bring your own food or plan to eat at one of Stevenson's local restaurants during the break.
    • ODA, WSDA, ISA, and OLCB recertification credits will be available (approval pending).
