RESOLUTION NO. 2002-53

(Designating Public Works Department as the “Disbursing

Officer” for Purposes of Filing Notice of Completion

Of Public Works Contracts)

WHEREAS, under RCW 36.80.030, the County Engineer is responsible to administer most of the County’s Public Works Contracts; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 60.28.050-051, the County Engineer is also responsible to authorize the disbursement or payment on Public Works contracts once they have been completed; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to these statues, the County is responsible to complete a Notice of Completion of Public Works Contract on a form provided by the State of Washington’s Department of Revenue; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners believe that the County Engineer’s Office should be responsible for completing that form;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Board of Commissioners hereby designates the County Engineer or his designee to serve as the “Disbursing Officer” for the Public Works contracts it administers, for purposes of completing the Notice of Completion of Public Works Contracts within the Department of Public Works required by the Department of Revenue under RCW 60.28.050-051.
