What happens if I fall behind?
If you are on supervision with the Department of Corrections, your payments
are monitored by your probation officer. You should discuss your situation
with your probation officer.
If you are not on supervision, or have completed it, your payments will be
monitored by the Collections Deputy at the Clerk's Office. To prevent
legal action, you should contact the Collections Deputy at (509)427-3770 to
discuss your case and make arrangements to bring your payments up-to-date.
If you fall substantially behind, your case may be referred to the Skamania
County Prosecutor's Office for legal action. This can include being
summoned to court and/or having a warrant issued for your arrest.
Additional fees, sanctions and even jail time may be imposed. If you feel
you have fallen behind substantially, and would like to work out an agreement,
please contact the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at (509)427-3790.
