Where can I make my payment?

There are three ways for you to make a payment towards your legal financial obligations.

In Person
The Skamania County Clerk's Office is located in the County Courthouse at 240 NW Vancouver Avenue, Stevenson, Washington.  You will find us in Room 33 on the third floor.  We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. excluding legal holidays.

By Mail
If you are going to mail a payment, please send a check or money order (not cash), payable to the Skamania County Clerk.  Please be sure to include the defendant's name and case number on your payment.  Mail your payment to:
                      Skamania County Clerk
             P.O. Box 790
                      Stevenson, WA  98648
If you would like to receive a receipt for your mailed payment, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Via Phone or the Internet
If you prefer to make your payment via telephone or the internet, you can do so through Official Payments.  You will need to indicate that your payment is for Superior Court fines, and will also be required to provide your case number and last name.  Official Payments accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Telephone payments can be made by calling 1-877-853-1059.

To make a payment online, please visit the Official Payments website at http://www.officialpayments.com.

What happens if I fall behind?

If you are on supervision with the Department of Corrections, your payments are monitored by your probation officer.  You should discuss your situation with your probation officer.

If you are not on supervision, or have completed it, your payments will be monitored by the Collections Deputy at the Clerk's Office.  To prevent legal action, you should contact the Collections Deputy at (509)427-3770 to discuss your case and make arrangements to bring your payments up-to-date.

If you fall substantially behind, your case may be referred to the Skamania County Prosecutor's Office for legal action.  This can include being summoned  to court and/or having a warrant issued for your arrest.  Additional fees, sanctions and even jail time may be imposed.  If you feel you have fallen behind substantially, and would like to work out an agreement, please contact the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at (509)427-3790.
