RESOLUTION 2007-29
SKAMANIA COUNTY, WASHINGTON
(A Resolution Dissolving the Wind River Public Development Authority)
WHEREAS, at its June 7, 2007 Public Development Authority Board meeting, the PDA Board evaluated its progress in managing the Wind River Site, and determined it has succeeded in its goal of putting the property back into productive use thus unanimously voted to pass Resolution 2007-07 requesting the Skamania County Board of County Commissioners to dissolve the Wind River Public Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 2003-15 dated April 7, 2003 creating the Wind River Public Development Authority authorizes the dissolution of the Wind River Public Development Authority if requested by Resolution from the Wind River Public Development Authority Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, the Wind River Site offers a unique opportunity to Skamania County for future economic development activities, job creation and the expansion of the County’s tax base; and
WHEREAS; the Board of County Commissioners believes it is in the best interests of the County to invest County resources to further economic development at the site.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Wind River Public Development Authority is dissolved effective this date.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Skamania County Economic Development Council from this date will handle full management of the Wind River Site while a full contract is developed.
