RESOLUTION 2003-46
(Amending Skamania County Personnel Policy, Resolution 1985-36)
WHEREAS, Resolution 1985-36 adopted a comprehensive personnel policy for Skamania County and amended it per Resolution 1986-19, by Board of Commissioners action on June 13, 1988, Resolution 1989-34, Resolution 1990-10, Resolution 1990-38, Resolution 1990-39, Resolution 1992-12, Resolution 1992-16, Resolution 1993-25, Resolution 1994-17, Resolution 1995-07, Resolution 1997-23 Resolution 1998-40 Resolution 1999-10, Resolution 1999-18, Resolution 2000-25, Resolution 2001-35, 2001-47, Resolution 2002-47, Resolution 2003-09, and Resolution 2003-32; and
WHEREAS, WAC 356.34.030 does not allow for suspension to exceed 15 days for single penalty or thirty days in a year and the policy does not currently address this rule.
WHEREAS, concerns were addressed by the Personnel Committee that our policy does not address retention of minor and major disciplinary records; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that some departments have a need to regulate their sick and annual leave at 10 minute increments; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has reviewed the recommendations of the Personnel Committee and believes an amendment is necessary to the Personnel Policy to include the above mentioned concerns; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Chapters 1, 9 and 12 of the Comprehensive Personnel Policy is hereby amended as outlined in Attachment A
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as herein modified, Resolution 1985-36 and its subsequent amendments approved by the Board of Commissioners are hereby affirmed in their entirety.

WHEREAS, the undersigned, being duly elected to public office in Skamania County, hereby collectively agree to abide by the amendments of and addition to the comprehensive personnel policy referred to above in Resolution 2003-46:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that each of the undersigned adopt the same as amendments and additions to the Skamania County Personnel Policy which will be in effect during their term(s) of their office until and unless further action is taken regarding the same.
