ORDINANCE 2006- 07
(AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 1979-02, 1998-02 AND 2001-05 AND CHAPTER 2.02 OF THE SKAMANIA COUNTY CODE TO MODIFY THE DAYS OF MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners conducts business of the county in public session; and
WHEREAS, regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners are currently authorized on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and may be continued as needed with a majority vote of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to change the days available for public meetings by deleting Mondays and adding Wednesday;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SKAMANIA COUNTY, WASHINGTON, THAT: the following section of the Skamania County Code and Ordinance 1979-02, 1998-02 and 2001-05 be amended:
Chapter 2.02.10 Meetings – Hours – Duration
The official hours for county business conducted through meetings of the Board of Commissioners shall be Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays of each week between the hours of nine a.m. and five p.m.; provided that such meetings may be continued for as long as necessary by a majority vote of the board.
