ORDINANCE NO. 2003-02

(An Ordinance Amending Section 2.44.020 of

Chapter 2.44, Title 2 of the Skamania County Code)

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has learned from the County Auditor that due to the City of Stevenson annexing the Niedert Annexation Area into the City, and the need to downsize the Skye Precinct and create a new precinct; and other administrative matters, and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, pursuant to RCWs 29.04.040 and 29.04.050, Section 2.44.020 and 2.44.030 of Chapter 2.44, Title 2 of the Skamania County Code (Ordinance Nos. 1981-04, 1987-04, 1990-03, 1996-02, 1998-4, 1999-05 and 2002-14) be amended; and

BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, that the map and legal descriptions as set out in Exhibits A through C, attached hereto and by reference fully incorporated herein, be removed from Nelson Creek Precinct and added to the North Stevenson Precinct; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, that the map and legal descriptions as set out in Exhibits D through F, attached hereto and by reference fully incorporated herein, be removed from Skye Precinct and added to the newly created Bear Prairie Precinct; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED, that the precinct list as set out in Exhibit G, attached hereto and by reference fully incorporated herein, be added to the County Ordinance Book as the current voting precinct names and numbers; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that this ordinance shall become effective upon its final adoption; and

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that except as herein modified, Ordinance Nos. 1981-04, 1987-04, 1990-03, 1996-02, 1998-04, 1999-05, 2002-14 and Chapter SCC 2.44 now codified under Title 2 of the Skamania County Code, are hereby affirmed in their entirety and remain in full force and effect.

ORDINANCE NO. 2003-02 is hereby DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED INTO LAW this 21^st day of April 2003.
